We apply a medical grade topical anesthesia cream to help with discomfort. Most clients feel quite comfortable.
Typically, the face, neck and hands. Focused areas are also common. For instance, the under eyes, above the lips (vertical lip lines) and superficial wrinkles around the face and neck.
Skin is cleansed, topical numbing is applied to minimize discomfort. The pain is usually mild and can be adjusted but changing the depth of the microneedling. The topical numbing will minimize the pain.
The specialized microneedling device, SkinPen, is used to create micro-injuries to the skin’s surface. Or, a small gauge needle will be used to create microinjections. Simultaneously, the NCTF® Boos 135 is applied for effective penetration of the nutrients and vitamins. This will create an environment within the skin for regeneration of collagen and elastin.
Immediately after you will look slightly pink or red (similar to a sunburn). This may last up to a few days but usually resolves within 48 hours post treatment. Bruising may occur at the injection sites, but this is generally mild. Some clients may feel dry and itchy, this is resolved shortly after the treatment with proper hydration to the skin. You may feel tender or sore post treatment. This will subside a few hours post treatment. It is protocol to avoid direct sunlight immediately after and to adhere to the post care instructions provided to you at the time of your treatment. The downtime varies per client, some clients are healed within 24 hours, other may take 3-7 days for complete healing.
