When Belkyra® is used, injections are placed beneath the chin to target and destroy fat cells, and topical numbing is applied beforehand to improve comfort.
Swelling and bruising are common afterward, and several treatment sessions may be needed before the final result becomes noticeable.
Botox® or Dermal Fillers can also be incorporated when additional contouring is appropriate.
Appointment length depends on whether your treatment includes Belkyra®, Botox®, Dermal Fillers, or a combination of services. Belkyra® is typically performed over multiple appointments, so we’ll create a treatment schedule based on the amount of under-chin fat and the result you’d like to achieve.
Avoid high-intensity workouts and tanning for 24 hours beforehand. Bare Beauty also recommends avoiding alcohol, caffeine, and certain blood-thinning medications or supplements for three days when medically appropriate, as well as invasive facials, chemical peels, and laser treatments affecting the area for seven days.
For the first 24 hours, avoid touching, pressing, or massaging the treated areas, strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and makeup around injection sites. Certain blood-thinning products, alcohol, and caffeine should also be avoided for three days, while tanning and invasive skin or laser treatments should be avoided for 14 days.
Some social downtime is common with Belkyra® because swelling and bruising are expected. Most swelling and bruising subsides within about a week, although swelling can occasionally last for several weeks.
Pricing depends on the treatments included, the amount of Belkyra® required, and the number of sessions needed. If Botox® or Dermal Fillers are also recommended, we’ll provide pricing based on your complete treatment plan.
Belkyra® reduces under-chin fullness by permanently destroying targeted fat cells, while Dermal Fillers add structure and definition to areas such as the chin or jawline. Depending on your anatomy, combining fat reduction with contouring treatments can create a more complete lower-face result.
Topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to help minimize discomfort, and ice can be used afterward to help with swelling.
